Generator
Power generators constitute an important component in the field of power supply. By means of power stations, electricity generation is possible. Production of electric power is transmitted to the area requiring it. Power generation devices have different names: Emergency power systems, power generators, site power supply generators or simply power generators.
A generator is defined as an electric machine in which electric power is transformed. A generator is, so to speak, the engine in which energy is generated. The difference between this and a power generator is that it is equipped with a combustion engine and can only generate electricity with this. The combustion engine is linked to the generator. In agriculture one finds generators which are joined to the power take-off shaft. Power take-off generators do not have their own engines, instead they are powered with a shaft or an intermediate gear in the power-driven vehicle.
Diesel generators have a long-lasting functional life and are very safe. Diesel generators are especially suited as emergency generators. The generators powered by diesel are energy efficient and economic. In comparison to petrol units, consumption is low; they require servicing less often and generally have lower running costs. It is worth the one-off purchase of a diesel generator.
There are different power generators in different performance categories, for various purposes. An important attribute is independence from the power supply systems. In an emergency power system, the diesel or petrol engine and a generator for electricity generation play a vital role. Power generators are used in agriculture as well as in horticulture. Everywhere where electricity production must be guaranteed at all times or it can result in power failure. Electricity generators can be used for continuous power supply or also as mains feeding solutions.
Power generators vary on the basis of technology: conventional technology and inverter technology. In conventional generators, the current frequency produced is paired with the rate of rotation of the combustion engine. However, the combustion engine and the generator in inverter technology are separate and do not run on the same frequency. Thus generators with inverter technology produce a higher electricity quality than common household electricity. When it is not a question of noise, conventional generators are still popular in agriculture or in construction.
When electricity generators are to be used for emergency provision, a UPS device is required. The UPS device ensures an uninterrupted flow of electricity. After a power failure, it can take seconds or a few minutes before the power generator can provide its full power.
On traktorpool.se you will not only find electricity generators from the manufacturers Atlas Copco, Gesan and Kawakenki, but also from Deutz-Fahr, Honda and MAN.
